Three Gables

Set on a secluded, tree-filled hillside in Boulder, Colorado, this custom home for a young family is composed as a series of refined gabled volumes dedicated to living, sleeping, and working. Carefully positioned to preserve privacy while capturing natural light, the forms step down the landscape, creating a cohesive collection of structures woven into the site.

Inspired by Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle, the design balances shelter and openness, connecting daily family life to the surrounding landscape with large operable glazing. A high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is expressed through restrained materials, thoughtful proportions, and enduring construction, resulting in a warm, modern home that is both timeless and deeply connected to place.
