Canopy

Located in Boulder, Colorado, Canopy is a modern custom residence designed for a steep hillside site overlooking the Front Range. Inspired by the mature trees on the property, the home is organized around an expansive roof that creates sheltered outdoor living spaces, frames panoramic mountain views, and minimizes disturbance to the landscape.

Hovering lightly above the terrain, the roof provides shade, filters Colorado's intense mountain light, and strengthens the connection between the home and its surroundings. Large expanses of glass open every major living space to the landscape, creating a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor living.
