Piché Architecture is a Boulder-based architecture and interior design studio founded by Mike Piché and Amanda Christianson. Having first met in Michigan in 2002, Mike and Amanda bring a shared history and complementary perspectives to the design of modern custom homes and renovations throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. Our work is rooted in a warm modernism—architecture defined by clarity and rigor, yet shaped by material richness, sensory experience, and the comfort of home. We seek an essential quality in each project, allowing site, light, proportion, material, and daily life to guide the design. We believe that simplicity is not the absence of detail, but the thoughtful resolution of it. Architecture and interiors are conceived as an integrated whole, with careful attention to the relationships between space and material, form and function, and the elements the eye sees and the hand touches. Natural materials, nuanced textures, and changing light bring warmth and depth to spaces that remain calm, purposeful, and enduring.Together, Mike and Amanda bring more than four decades of experience in residential design, with a depth of knowledge spanning architecture, interiors, materials, detailing, and construction. Their partnership balances conceptual clarity with curiosity, practical insight, and the realities of building. From the earliest ideas through construction, we work closely with homeowners and a trusted network of engineers, builders, designers, artists, and craftspeople. This collaborative process carries a clear vision through every scale of thework—from the relationship to the landscape to the details that shape the experience of home.
