Sentinel Rock | AIA Excellence Award

Piché Architecture is honored to announce that Sentinel Rock has received an AIA Colorado Award of Excellence, the highest level of design recognition presented by AIA Colorado.

One of only three projects recognized with an Award of Excellence this year, Sentinel Rock was honored for its thoughtful restoration and transformation of an important midcentury modern residence by architect Tician Papachristou. The project sought to preserve the clarity and character of the original architecture while carefully introducing contemporary performance, comfort, and life-safety improvements.

Through a restrained approach to preservation, the existing structure, materials, and architectural intent remain central to the project. The result is a renewed home that honors its history while extending its life for the future.

We are grateful to our clients and collaborators who helped make this work possible, and proud to have Sentinel Rock recognized among Colorado’s highest level of architectural design.
